I had a new album recorded, but binned it: the songs weren't right. But I still liked this track, which was an oddity already among the rejects, being the only synth-based song. So here it is, pulled out of the waste and polished up as a kind of farewell, for now at least, to the style of music that EI has played so far. I have something very different in mind for 2023.

The song is about feeling out of place and vulnerable in a strange place where you don't know the rules.
